At Bigso, we deeply care about the environment, making eco-friendly choices in everything we do, from sourcing materials to creating innovative solutions. Our green policy reflects our unwavering commitment to sustainability, as we not only minimize our environmental footprint but also set a new standard for sustainability in the paper converting industry, working together to create a more sustainable future for generations to come.

Sustainable
Material Sourcing

We prioritize using FSC-certified recycled materials in our production. By choosing recycled materials, we reduce reliance on virgin resources and support responsible forest management practices.

FACT – 95% of the paper materials we use are FSC certified and over 80% is recycled.

GOAL – Our goal is to offer more recycled paper options and decrease the use of virgin fiber by 2025.

Continuous CO2
Emissions Reduction

We actively seek ways to minimize our carbon footprint through daily focus on waste reduction in our factories, which contributes to lowering CO2 emissions. Our focus is to invest in technologies that help save our planet, from renewable energy sources to advanced manufacturing processes.

FACT – Notable achievements include saving 1109 tons of CO2 in 2023 through green energy from our solar plant, hybrid/electric cars, and purchasing and internal waste reduction efforts.

GOAL – To reduce CO2 emissions by 10% each year by building two new solar plants, installing geothermal heating, and transitioning to only hybrid and electric vehicles.

Eco-Friendly Product
Design and Engineering

Sustainability is the core of our product design and engineering processes. We prioritize environmental considerations throughout the entire product lifecycle by integrating eco-friendly materials and innovative design techniques, minimizing environmental impact without compromising quality or durability. We design for easy recyclability at the end of the product’s long lifecycle.

FACT – We handle design and construction in-house, focusing on material savings, waste reduction, and durability.

GOAL – To eliminate plastic in all areas possible, such as removing shrink wrapping on main accounts and avoiding designs with mixed materials. Additionally, we aim to optimize energy usage during the design phase.

EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT

We believe that every team member contributes to our environmental goals. Through training, communication, and involvement in meaningful decision-making processes, we empower our employees to actively participate in our green initiatives.

FACT – We encourage waste sorting and promote energy savings among our employees. FSC training is provided yearly to ensure the important message of responsible harvesting is understood.

GOAL – To provide clear visual information in both factories and offices about our sustainability course and goals, and to conduct documented training for ALL employees once a year.
